I was walking along the dark, misty and fragile landscape. As I strolled, taking care where I stepped the cave seemed to open its maw grabbing at me like an insect trapped in a spider web. The loud silence seemed to drain my soul. The only thing that cut through the thick, gooey silence was the drip drip of water falling from the stalactites and stalagmites. My flashlight was pitiful against the vast expanse of the cave. At these parts sunlight never dared to show its face. The slick stalactites scraped against my skin like scythes. I Reminded myself for the umpteenth time that I was here in this hell scape for a reason. Then I saw where the throat of the cave finally ended. This cave had a-mazing paths but I had finally reached my destination. As I gazed my eyes fell upon alone chest just sitting at the end. My legs seem to pull me towards it. Deep down inside me I felt shallow; shallow why I was here; shallow to what I had accomplished and shallow to what I was about to do. I reached with my frightened hands, felt for the chest and hoisted it open…
